Habitat celebrates 20th home in 20th year on November 20th

Published: November 14, 2011

We're celebrating our 20th home with a dedication to Rebeca Spears and her Son Carlos Cabrera, their first home!

Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County is celebrating the completion of the 20th home in 20 years this coming Sunday, November 20th starting at 3pm at 559 E Market Street, Warsaw. Even more important will be the celebration of the first home for Habitat Partner family member Rebeca Spears and her son Carlos Cabrera. The Dedication is open to the public and anyone interested in seeing a Habitat home is encouraged to stop by for a tour and refreshments.

Rebeca is a cancer survivor who has been working as much as she can at RR Donnelly to make the down payment for the home in addition to putting in more than sufficient hours to fulfill her sweat equity requirement. Carlos, a father of three, is paralyzed from the chest down after a car accident five years ago. The 20th Habitat home in Kosciusko county is a fully ADA compliant home to afford Carlos the greatest mobility possible in his new home.

Join us on November 20th in the season of Thanksgiving to celebrate! Call 574-269-4104 with any questions or inquiries.
