Habitat presents Rain on Kosciusko 2012

seeking Sponsors and Artists

Warsaw, IN 1/25/12 - Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County seeks to turn rain barrel art into
funds for the next Habitat home built within the county. Twenty-eight (28) rain barrels have been
provided by the Kosciusko County Soil and Water Conservation District to be sponsored by businesses
and/or individuals and then turned into works of art to be displayed around Downtown Warsaw for more
than a month. The barrels will be unveiled at the First Friday in May, the 4th, while awards will be
handed out at the First Friday in June, the 1st. The barrels will remain on display until auctioned off
Saturday afternoon June 9th at the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival.

Barrels are available on a first come, first serve basis for a donation of $250, which includes event
sponsorship and must be completed by Monday, May 1st to begin display around Downtown Warsaw.
Awards will be given for Best Creation, Best Color Scheme, Most Imaginative Use, Best Artist, Most
Outside the Barrel, Most Bizarre, People's Choice and more. Best in Show will be decided by the barrel
receiving the highest auction amount. For more information on how to participate please call 574-269-

Rain barrels are very similar to the role that Habitat plays in the community, the barrels are simple,
decent, affordable, efficient and utilize the resources freely provided to improve plant life. Habitat
provides simple, decent, affordable and efficient housing utilizing the volunteer resources of the
community to improve the community.
