How do
I apply for a Habitat home?
“Partner
family” is the term Habitat uses for the family they are building a
home. Partner is an essential word in Habitat language. It means
we are in this together, and together we will build you a home and give you a
hand-up, not
a hand-out.
To
become a partner family, the potential partner family must complete an
application for review by the Family Selection Committee. The Family
Selection Committee evaluates your need for housing, evaluates your financial
situation, makes credit checks and conducts in-home interviews. Qualifications for becoming a partner
family include:
· Continuous residency of Kosciusko
County for two years
· Need for adequate shelter as
determined by Habitat
· Ability to pay for a Habitat home
· Willingness to partner with Habitat
We distribute and accept applications
only when a house is soon to be built. If you would like to be put on our
